Recently becoming diabetic, I changed my diet to help reduce my A1C. Doing so I had to give up a large variety of things to eat. Finding this spread has put a smile on my face and taste buds.I bought this along with the Walden Farms Raspberry spread as part of a gift for my Type 2 diabetic mother. She doesn't have an easy time finding sugar free jams, jellies or spreads, and most of them taste terrible. The blueberry flavor is nice, sweet, and doesn't taste synthetic to me -- that alone makes it a good product. The price point is decent, too. I expect to pay more for carb-free and sugar-free items, but it was a welcome surprise to avoid paying a small fortune for jelly.I'm impressed with Walden Farms products and am fairly likely to purchase more in the future if the prices stay reasonable. Not really a spread. Very runny so it is great on ice cream.I am a Walden Farms fan, I like their mayonnaise and salad dressings, but this just doesn't cut it. The taste is okay but calling it a "spread" is just wishful thinking. This stuff has the texture of jello and just rolls when you try to spread it on bread, it has no adhesion at all. Try spreading this on lo-cal bread, which is typically just normal bread sliced thinly, and you can end up with a nice mess.Maybe the problem is my expectation -- I thought it would somehow have blueberry flavor in it, and spreadable, but it is a jar of sour flavored jelly. It runs quite quickly because you can't spread or paste it on anything, too jelly-o. The only way to eat it I found was to mix with non fat yoghurt (original flavor). But I 'd rather take in additional 20 calories for a scoop of real jam.I am a big fan of the Walden's product and I regularly buy the strawberry spread in my local grocery store. I think the Walden's products are way overpriced on Amazon but this was a decently priced add on, so I tried it..... Love it! I will be reordering as long as it's the same price.I use this to stuff crepes. When it's warmed and begins to melt it looses that awful medicinal flavor and really tastes like blueberries. I'm on a special diet that does not allow carbs, sugar or fat and I don't have a lot of option. This gives me my fruit fix.For zero calories it is great but it does have a weird consistency and can be hard to spread on bread/toast. I usually let it sit out of the fridge for a few minutes and that seems to help.I was trying to find sugar free jams for Christmas, that didn't have a strong laxative effect. I tried this one to test it out, to see if we liked it first, as there are 3 of us who are diabetics in our family. Well, disappointed I'm afraid. None of us liked it. It wasn't the taste, it was the texture. It was jelly, which didn't used to mind in sugar jams, but this jelly had no stability to it. It was runny, and looked like a half set desert jelly. Spreading it on bread was difficult. I won't be buying this again, I'm afraid. You are better off buying sugar free jelly at a fraction of the price. Don't waste your money. This tastes too artificial and way too sweet, even for my sweet tooth and it would be impossible to spread on anything because of its slimy consistency. I must admit, this is the third product I get from this company and I always end up very disappointed with both taste and consistency:(I feel quite deceived by this product. It's described as Blueberry Spread but when you read the ingredients, there's not a trace of Blueberry in it!It stands only on having no carbs.Pathetic!Vaguely blueberry-flavoured, weird semi-solid texture. For no calories this is brilliant, anyone saying it is disgusting hasn't been dieting long enough.Chemical taste
